“He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities” (Psalm 103:10).
The great distinguishing mark between the Almighty who sent His only begotten Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, and the gods of mankind’s making is His mercy and grace. His mercy is not His weakness—for some religions imagine it so—, but His strength. In His mercy He redeems a fallen race and inhabits His Kingdom with happy subjects who worship Him out of the duty of love and gratitude, rather than the duty of religion that seeks quid pro quo. Thus, He is building an eternal city of joy and justice born out of pure love, a love unknown but in the life and atoning death of our blessed Lord Jesus.
